The IBM Storwize V7000 provides significant advancements in the storage marketplace for SAN infrastructures. Maxima can offer the following Storage Consultancy Packages which fall into three categories; Health Checks,Optimisation Studies and Strategic Reviews and comprise a set of services ranging from initial discovery and inventory to deep-dive analytics and support for strategic decision making.Backup, NAS and SAN Health Checks are short-term engagements (1-3 days)
This type of engagement fulfils two core roles. In a seemingly healthy environment they aim to minimise the potential risk of a future service failure and/or data loss. Alternatively, where a well-defined service issue is known but cannot be solved by resident IT staff these studies are the initial phase in any problem resolution.
Health Checks have two main objectives:
1) Highlight any major configuration and performance issues
2) Ratify operational integrity
Health Checks use pre-built data gathering scripts to collect configuration and performance data. The collected data is validated against best practice guidelines and a pass/fail mark is awarded to each criterion.
