IP Telephony

IP Telephony allows companies to realize the benefits of Voice over IP (VoIP) technology with a suite of media control and IP Phone solutions for businesses ranging from SMB to large enterprises. Converged networks with free on-net calls, single onsite infrastructure, centralised reception and administration functions, a single provider for Voice and Data communication are just some of the benefits being realised by customers who have migrated to an IP Telephony platform.

Maxima can deliver an IP Telephony solution based on Cisco or Nortel equipment to meet the needs of end user with a service that can be tailored to utilise the existing network infrastructure or where appropriate Maxima will make recommendations to upgrade the onsite cabling, LAN switches, and WAN connectivity.

Migration to an IP Telephony solution is one of the first steps in moving towards a Unified Communication (UC) environment.

Maxima's Hosted IP Telephony Service

Maxima's hosted IP Telephony Centrex platform built on Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.1 and Cisco Unity 4.0 allows customer to benefit from the new technologies available in Voice over IP (VoIP) without the initial CAPEX of owning their own system. Users can be added on a pay per extension per month basis.

The ability to combine a resilient fully managed IP PBX and Voice Mail platform with Maxim's LAN and WAN service offerings provides customer with a distinct advantage when converging Voice and Data networks.

Maxima's Voice Platform is scalable enough to support SMBs with a single office through to corporate and enterprise groups that have numerous main and branch offices, as well as home workers.

With multiple connections to Tier 1 carriers Maxima IP Telephony services provides a quality voice network that could not be achieved previously.

Standard features of the hosted IP Telephony platform include Call Forwarding, Free On-Net calls, Carrier Pre Select (CPS), Pc soft Phones, Voice mail and Remote Web Management.

As part of a constantly evolving product, new features are continually enabling customers to make VoIP work for them. Maxima's latest release allows the integration of existing WiFi enabled mobile phone to the corporate network as part of a strategic Mobility Solution. The added benefits assist users to have direct access to utilise the cost savings of the IP Telephony service while reducing mobile phone costs and maintaining the flexibility of a mobile phone.
