Arts Council Case Study
The Arts Council is a public body that awards funding to promote the Arts in England. They issued a tender for technical support for their Oracle Financials system and the management and maintenance of their Oracle grant management system. This is a mission-critical system. Between 2006 and 2008, The Arts Council issued grants of £1.1 billion and without this system, they could not function.
The Arts Council very quickly selected Maxima for their Oracle support contract as Maxima had impressed them with their list of Blue Chip customers and were very happy to work with The Arts Council's other IT partners.

The British Car Auctions Challenge
British Car Auctions (BCA), Europe's largest vehicle remarketing company has a history stretching back nearly 60 years. The company constantly introduces innovative services and technologies which, coupled with unsurpassed customer service, lead to many high profile automotive industry awards.
BCA has achieved significant growth in the last five years, particularly in Europe, where the company now has 14 centres in 9 different countries. With this expansion, BCA needed a highly secure solution to give the European sites access to the financial systems and database hosted in the London data centre.
In addition, BCA is developing a centralized auction system to replace the multiple independent applications being used in Europe.
"All of our UK data centres and auction sites are connected by a private WAN," said Neil Parker, the BCA IT Manager, "but extending it to include our European sites was simply too expensive."
