The national multi-product hire specialist Hewden selects Maxima for major multi-million pound ERP and business management solution deployment
Hewden engages Maxima to implement major integrated business solution based on core Microsoft Dynamics® AX and Microsoft Dynamics® CRM 2011 software, as well as Maxima’s own specialist Construction Industry applications expertise
With service delivery centres throughout the UK, Hewden is uniquely placed to provide the rapid deployment of equipment and resources such as plant, accommodation, cranes, power generation, access and communication solutions to meet clients' most demanding contract requirements. Working with Maxima to implement this next generation Microsoft Dynamics-enabled solution is a key part of Hewden’s drive to deploy leading edge technology to help provide added value service for its customers.
“Following Hewden’s acquisition by Sun European Partners last year it was important that we evolve our core IT systems. A growing requirement for greater flexibility, scalability and increased agility across our core business management and CRM activities was identified as key in enabling Hewden to deliver improved and more efficient services to its customers,” commented Hewden’s Head of IT, Andrew Griffin. “As a leading Microsoft Gold partner, Maxima clearly could offer the in-depth capabilities we needed to support our Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 deployments, however we were also particularly impressed by the company’s detailed Construction sector expertise and its ability to implement the more focused equipment rental and x-hire capabilities that could directly support our business.”
“Relationship management and customer service is central to everything we do at Hewden – particularly for our growing number of customers who require a fully-managed equipment rental service, or specifically-tailored national or multi-site support,” he continued. “Maxima’s proven CRM capabilities, as well as its ability to customise Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 to meet our own particular application requirements, were also key factors in our decision to go with the company.”
“The provision of solutions based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX/CRM platform is one of Maxima’s key growth engines, and we’re delighted to add Hewden to our expanding portfolio of Microsoft Dynamics customers,” added Charles Harrigan, Managing Director of Maxima Scotland and leader of the team working on the Hewden project. “Hewden and Maxima are a particularly good fit – we’re both organisations with strong Scottish roots that have expanded nationally, and we both understand how the effective deployment of advanced technologies such as Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 can play a key role in enabling effective account and contract management - not only driving cost savings into the business, but also delivering added value services to clients.”
The equipment rental industry has always depended upon the balanced combination of technology and people to provide an effective service to customers. As business becomes increasingly technology driven, Hewden continues to develop innovative, practical applications of the latest available technology to provide added value service for our clients. Maxima will work closely with Hewden, initially deploying the company’s Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 applications on premise, but also offering the flexibility to move to a hosted, cloud-enabled environment at a later date.
