Maxima extends Microsoft portfolio with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction

Microsoft Gold Certified CRM partner extends specialist Construction industry solution with three specific versions for Contractors, Consultants & Architects, and Building Products Manufacturers.

August 22, 2011: Maxima, the leading IT business systems and managed services company and construction industry specialist has launched Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction1, a comprehensive value-added series of CRM solutions that enables companies working in the construction industry to manage all their key business development, sales, marketing and client support activity by project, company, contact, and influencer.

Maxima’s Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction is now available in three specific versions – for Contractors, for Consultants and Architects, and for Building Products Manufacturers and Suppliers.

“With our new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction solution, we’ve not only adapted Microsoft Dynamics CRM to meet the specific needs of the different organisation types in the sector, but also provided the flexibility companies need to meet their own particular business requirements,” commented Steven Shepherd, Business Development Director of Maxima’s CRM & SharePoint Division.

“Our new versions of the solution leverage key developments in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, and the knowledge and expertise Maxima has gained in delivering CRM solutions over the last decade. Our experience has also shown that our clients want flexibility in deployment so the solution can be deployed on premise, hosted as a Software-as-a-Service Cloud solution, or delivered as a Managed Service,” he continued.

The new Maxima Construction Industry solution takes full advantage of key Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 innovations and enhancements, including role-based forms and views, dashboards and contextual document management using Microsoft SharePoint. The role-based solution ensures that different professionals have immediate access to only the information that’s relevant to them, while organisations can gain a more comprehensive view of the different projects which they are targeting or bidding for – as well as the associated clients, contacts and influencers.

Dashboard functionality now brings together essential Microsoft Dynamics CRM data to present construction industry specific reports that can then be shared as needed with other CRM users using Microsoft SharePoint capabilities. Dashboards can be configured quickly by business users without specialist IT expertise.

For Contractors, Consultants and Architects, the Maxima solution enhances the ability to track all business development activity by project, client, project and influencer (mapping up to three levels of project relationships) and managing multiple bids and tenders.

As a further enhancement Maxima has also introduced additional capabilities that allows contractors, consultants & architects using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint to manage the bid management and approval process more effectively. Close integration ensures that as Business Development and bid teams sign off against documents and approval gateways, the process automatically updates Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction.

For Building Products manufacturers, in addition to the core project tracking capability and third party lead management tools, the Maxima solution offers powerful quotation management capabilities, allowing the creation and modification of accurate quotes using a comprehensive product catalogue – as well as managing multiple quotes to different customers for the same project.

One of the first customers to implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction is Kingspan Insulation. Commenting on his selection, Peter Smith, Divisional IT Manager for Kingspan Insulation, said: “We initially looked at a range of proposals from SAP and Microsoft specialists, but chose Maxima to implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 for Construction across our European operations primarily because of the company’s proven Microsoft Dynamics expertise, its ability to support flexible deployment options such as cloud, and its in-depth construction and building products domain capabilities.”

As a long-standing Microsoft Gold Certified CRM Partner, with in-depth experience in delivering Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions on premise, off premise or delivered as an SaaS solution in the cloud, Maxima provides organisations such as Anglian Building Products, BAM Construct, Dimplex, Swish Building Products, Vent-Axia, Colas, Karndean, Balfour Beatty Rail, John Sisk,  May Gurney, Morgan Lovell, Murphy Group, SPI npower, Galliford Try and NG Bailey with the capability to easily create and maintain a clear view of customers from first contact through to purchase and post-sale, with specific support for Marketing, Sales and Customer Service operations. With a single code base across cloud and on-premise deployment models, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 delivers the power of productivity to sales, service and marketing organisations worldwide. Key benefits include point-and-click configurability, enterprise scalability and easy interoperability with existing applications and databases.
